Reader’s Favorite Gold Medal Award Review
"Heaven or Hell: It's as Easy as 1, 2, 3 Study Guide" wins Gold Medal Award from Reader's Favorite!
“Sister Valerie Pope is a pastor in South Bend, Indiana. She has penned this book as a tool to offer hope to all. More people believe in heaven than hell but many do not believe in either. Pope’s brother was in an auto accident and saw the angel of death. When asked what it meant, Pope told her mother it was a wake-up call, something many of us need. Many ask, "If heaven and hell are real, then show me." Pope uses scripture to show readers that heaven and hell exist.
Heaven is mentioned 224 times in the Scriptures and Hell is mentioned 53 times. The first scripture that Pope goes into depth on is Luke 16. This is the scripture where a man in Hell asks Lazarus for a drop of water. She also spends time discussing the rapture and end times; I found this of particular interest. Pope is correct in stating that those with little knowledge of the Scriptures avoid reading or studying Revelation. Pope spends time discussing and explaining the last book of the Bible. She also offers a very simple formula for getting into heaven. “Belief + Confession = Salvation and Righteousness."
There is a place for notes at the end of each chapter. At the end of the book there are several discussion or study questions. I very much enjoyed this workbook. It is written in simple and easy to understand terms. The length is a mere 44 pages keeping it from being a formidable read. Pope has an excellent presentation. She gets right to the heart of the matter without writing over people’s heads. I particularly enjoyed the personal stories."
